I'm Quintin King, your Independent Councillor for Cessnock.
I have called Cessnock home for the past 6 years, Proud blue collar worker, husband and father of 2. I've been working as a plant mechanic in the road construction industry and mining industry for 15 years. Fixing things and problem solving is in my DNA.

I was elected as an independent councillor in 2024. Working with other Independents we created history in Cessnock to win half the seats in council chambers including an Independent Mayor.

I work in the interest of the people not a party. I listen and I fight for the people in my community.
What I'm fighting for:
I listened to what our community was saying was important and took a suite of policies to the election to address the issues that was important to you and campaigned on those issues, those policies was the following:
Local government and State government issues often over lap. Issues important to me that we need to address on a state level is getting crime under control with more police presence, hospital services to meet our community needs, enough schools to meet demand, public transport and the need for proper infrastructure to support the dramatic growth in our population.
